What Is the Boots Ball?

The Military & Veteran Boots Ball is not a traditional military ball.

It is FCMSPC’s annual suicide prevention fundraiser. It brings the community together to support service members, veterans, and families through awareness, remembrance, recognition, and connection.

This event is formal, meaningful, and mission-focused.

Everyone is invited. You do not have to be military-connected to attend. If you care about veterans, service members, families, or suicide prevention, this event is for you.

What Is FCMSPC?

Everyone has a role in prevention.

The Fayette County Military Suicide Prevention Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and 100% volunteer-led organization.

FCMSPC focuses on military and veteran suicide prevention through:

Awareness
Outreach
Education
Remembrance
Recognition
Community Connection

Suicide prevention is not just crisis response. It is connection, community, and making sure service members, veterans, and families know they are not alone.

Why Boots?

Boots are the theme.

Suicide prevention is the mission.

The boots are symbolic.

They represent service, sacrifice, strength, and the lives we honor, especially those lost to suicide.

For many service members and veterans, boots represent where they have been, what they have carried, and the people they served beside.

The formal wear brings the celebration, but the boots carry the mission.
